Team Coordinator
Team Coordinators are required for The Community Centre, The Food Pantry, Home Restoration Projects, Special Events and Outreaches as well as Worship and Creative Arts Ministries. Team Coordinators are required to commit to either the Faith Builders II or Immersed programs. (see our Mission Impact Programs page)
PURPOSE
- Give strategic direction and bring credence to the goals of the team
- Set high standards of excellence to the execution and completion of the team’s goals
- Be accountable for all things that happen in your assigned team and area
- Ensure the Core Values of GTS are upheld
RESPONSIBILITIES
PLAN
- Work with team to set ministry goals
- Lead the team in planning the ministry calendar
- Coordinate with other Team Coordinators in other areas
LEAD
- Lead weekly team meetings to build fellowship and foster unity in the team
- Strategize to execute ministry goals
- Delegate roles and tasks to team members
- Ensure team members are fulfilling their responsibilities in ministry
REPORT
- Prepare monthly reports on the progress of the ministry
COACH
- Coach and encourage each team member to grow in their Spiritual life and effectiveness in their role on the team.
Team Member
Team member opportunities are for volunteers who wish to commit to the Faith Builders I, II and Immersed Programs.
There programs are short to long-term programs designed for both those who may feel God is calling them into missions but are still not are on making a lifetime commitment, as well as those who wish to make a 2+ year commitment to serving in on-field missions.
These volunteers will work in some or all of the below ministries and wherever possible, assist with coordinating specific programs according to their area of work.
- The Community Centre
- The Food Pantry
- Home Restoration Projects
- Special Events and Outreaches
- Worship and Creative Arts
Persons applying for the Worship and Creative Arts ministry should be experienced.
Accountant
This volunteer will be required to ensure the accounting quality and efficiency of Go Tell Somebody Missions. They will be involved and accountable foe every step in the accounting process of the organization. In the event that the volunteer is an on-field volunteer, they will also be granted the opportunity to participate in other ministries wherever possible.
ROLE
- Record financials transactions
- Prepare forms and financial documentation, including balance sheets
- Prepare journal entries for month-end review
- Research country laws and update procedures accordingly
- Liaise with team coordinators and management to create budgets and financial plans as needed
- Reconcile general ledger accounts
- Compile comprehensive reports
